If you want to go to a NOLA themed shotgun bar thats classy but still punk rock then this is the spot. All in all a super rad no judgement melting pot with crazy fast service.

My wife and I stopped by here last weekend and enjoyed the atmosphere and the cocktail menu. The Corpse Reviver was quite tasty and the bartenders were knowledgeable and very nice. When we fist arrived it was sparsely populated but got quite busy before we left sometime around midnight. It's located on 1st Avenue North and pretty convenient if you are staying downtown and want to go to a cool bar with good drinks. We are definitely adding it to our regular watering hole list.

Fantastic bar. The staff is incredible and they really do their best to stay on top of everyone. They have all manner of fun events. They also stuck up for the other patrons and excercised their right to refuse service to some jackhole who kept shouting and hassling everyone. Very safe and welcoming environment truly.

The atmosphere is so inviting, it's hard to want to leave! Especially when the staff are so fun and friendly. They're always changing up the menu and offering great drink specials. Easily our favorite bar in bham ♡

First time at The Margaret and I was blown away. The vibe is super cool — kind of this purple, New Orleans feel — but what really stood out was Lauren behind the bar. She was so friendly and welcoming, made great drink recommendations, and just made the whole experience better. You can tell she actually enjoys what she’s doing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My first Corpse Reviver ( I think) First of all- I LOVE this space!! Sunday early afternoon and I’m the only person here, probably because the rest of Birmingham is watching football. Their loss. This space was formerly Atomic Lounge, which I never took time to visit. My loss. Gotta give praise to the bartender! Great attitude, well made cocktail. I’ll be back!

Me and all of my friends love coming to this bar. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive. This is a great place to grab a drink after work and enjoy a night with your friends.

$5 wine Wednesday? I challenge you to show me a better deal. Psssh! Love this bar, the vibes and music hit just right. Reid, Karti, and Lauren really are great and friendly bartenders. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is new to the area

Lauren set the pace and the mod. She is the reason this place stands out in Birmingham’s cocktail scene. From the moment you sit down, she makes you feel welcome. Her cocktail recommendations are spot-on. Whether you know exactly what you want or give her a vague “something balanced, maybe a little funky,” she nails it. I wanted a margarita that wasn’t lime. She said pineapple, I said yes, and one more. Beyond the drinks, Lauren brings an easy confidence and warmth that elevates the whole experience. Great conversation when you want it, space when you don’t, and flawless timing throughout the night. The Margaret is already a fantastic bar, but bartenders like Lauren are what turn a good spot into a place you want to come back to again and again. If you’re sitting at the bar, do yourself a favor and let Lauren guide the night.
